Rising Wings Charity Pin
This hard enamel pin is inspired by the song "Blackbird" by The Beatles. The lyric that inspired us to create this pin, "Take these broken wings and learn to fly," is a reflection that was made by Paul McCartney about the racial inequalities and tensions of the 60s.
Although it's been over 50 years since this song was written, we are still facing countless inequalities in the world today. Hopefully if enough of us take the time and energy to learn to fly, there will be true and lasting change for the better.
100% of net profits from this pin will be split equally and donated to The Montgomery Bail Out and Southerners on New Ground. We've chosen these to charities, because we are eager to create good in our own state of Alabama and in the South.
